Summary:

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detailed oriented, highly motivated, team focused Civil Resident Engineer to work in its Municipal and Transportation Groups.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication, project collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing construction oversight and management on various infrastructures including storm water, transportation, water and waste water related projects.
  • Oversee field staff and contractors on the project site and is responsible to ensure quality construction in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Managed activities such as layout, inspection, documentation and pay estimates as well as project closeout/resolve material deficiencies.
  • Providing technical advice when warranted to the design and construction of the projects.
  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, however not required.
  • P.E. license or EIT is preferred, however not required.
  • Experience and certification may be substituted for the licensure.
  • Job related certifications (ie. IDOT and ICORS) are preferred, however not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license

    Responsibilities include:

    • Field work for construction layout, topographic surveys, subdivision development, ALTA Land Title Surveys and roadway projects.
    • Review and follow project scope; maintain clear and accurate field notes and electronic data.
    • Ability to multitask, adhere to timelines and remain focused.
    • Perform physical tasks such as pounding stakes, setting monuments, clearing line, walking through a variety of terrain, carrying equipment, etc.

    Qualifications:

    • Expertise with GPS and Robotic Survey Equipment
    • Understanding of construction layout, topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA Land Title Surveys, and subdivisions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

          • Providing support and/or project lead for planning, design and reporting on various transportation projects
          • Providing construction oversight on various transportation projects
          • Providing construction management on various transportation projects

          Qualifications:

           

          • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
          • Have a minimum of five (5) – fifteen (15) years of experience on a wide range of transportation projects including roadway rehabilitation, roadway reconstruction, intersection design, traffic signal design, traffic studies and shared use path projects.
          • Knowledge of IDOT standards and procedures specifically as it relates to Phase I / Phase II design requirements and MFT requirements would be preferred
          • Experience with MicroStation and traffic modeling software (such as Highway Capacity Software or Synchro) would be a plus
          • Be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
          • A P.T.O.E license or ability/experience to obtain the license within a one-year time frame is a plus
          • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
          • A valid driver’s license

            Responsibilities include:

            • Participate on project teams
            • Report to a group’s Project Manager and high-level management
            • Prepare water and wastewater system reports
            • Design water supply, water treatment, pump stations and wastewater treatment facilities
            • Provide construction phase engineering services for water and wastewater projects

            Qualifications:

            • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
            • Have a minimum of five (5) – seven (7) years of design and construction engineering experience on water and wastewater systems
            • Be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

                • Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling software including but not limited to HEC1, HEC2, HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, FEQ and ArcGIS is preferred.

                  • Providing oversight for preparation of stormwater and floodplain permits
                  • Providing construction oversight on various infrastructure projects
                  • Providing construction management on various infrastructure projects

                  Qualifications:

                  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
                  • Have a minimum of five (5) – eight (8) years of experience on water, wastewater, transportation and stormwater related projects
                  • Be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
                  • Strong experience in modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPASWMM, StormCAD, and WaterCAD
                  • Experience with ArcGIS
                  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
                  • A valid driver’s license
