Engineering Enterprises, Inc. was chosen among the 30 Best Places to Work in Illinois
Engineering Enterprises, Inc. was chosen among the 30 Best Places to Work in Illinois by Ledger Publishing, the firm that produces The Business Ledger, the business newspaper for Suburban Chicago. Awards were unveiled at a special awards ceremony recently held at Danada House in Wheaton.
The distinction of being named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois was based upon employee surveys provided by Modern Think, a strategic human resources consulting firm that specializes in creating value through the employee experience. The surveys helped in the assessment of the workplace.
EEI gives careful consideration to benefits, incentives and a positive work environment for its employees. Benefits provided include health insurance at 100% for the employee and 80% for dependents; yearly holiday bonuses as well as semiannual performance bonuses and yearly reviews and raises; profit sharing contributions to 401K at eight percent and a Flexible Spending Account.
It is the policy of EEI that each employee shall have the opportunity for professional development and advancement including participation in technical and professional societies. In addition to the purely academic benefits provided by EEI, the human element cannot be ignored as EEI hosts a yearly Kane County Cougar Outing for all of its employees and clients and holds a yearly company picnic, holiday party and a variety of other company celebrations throughout the year.
As a group, EEI employees participate in numerous community activities and take advantage of volunteering opportunities. The EEI Social Committee plans a myriad of events throughout the year including regular summer softball games, Friday afternoon employee cookouts and a monthly employee basketball game.
