EEI Member Receives Inaugural Award

Congratulations to Jeff Freeman, P.E., CFM, LEED AP, Vice President, of Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) on receiving the inaugural Robert T. Sasman Volunteer Appreciation Award from the Illinois Section American Water Works Association (ISAWWA) on Thursday, March 20th at the Awards Breakfast during WATERCON2014 in Springfield.

Jeff started with EEI as a Project Engineer back in 1997 and he has held his current position of Vice President since 2005. Jeff has been actively involved in ISAWWA since 2009. He currently is the Chairman of the ISAWWA Education Committee where he works with committee members and ISAWWA staff to program seminars, webinars, night courses, two educational tracks at the association’s annual conference and an annual miniconference. In 2013, Jeff also was a participant on the association’s Small Systems Mentoring Committee, Strategic Plan Implementation Team Committee and Annual Conference Technical Program Committee.

After learning that he had been selected for the award, Jeff said, “It is an honor to be recognized with this award, especially with its association to Robert (Bob) Sasman. Bob is a legend in the water industry who has given a lot to the water industry. It also is a joy to work with all of the members of ISAWWA, who are on the front line for providing clean, safe drinking water within our state. “The Illinois Section of the American Water Works Association is dedicated to providing comprehensive resources for the management and advocacy of safe and sustainable water.
