LEAD SERVICE LINE REPLACEMENT

Village of Carpentersville, Illinois

EEI provided design and construction engineering services for the replacement of 400 lead water services for the Village of Carpentersville Lead Service Line Replacement Program. Design engineering services included securing Illinois Environmental Protection Agency State Revolving Loan funding with terms as noted below.  In addition to the IEPA SRF funding, the Village supplied approximately $2,260,000 in local funding to replace all the Village’s lead service lines at no cost to the property owners.

  • Planning, Design and Construction Engineering Services
  • Public Information Meetings and Coordination with Residents
  • Prepared and Mailed Flyers to Residents
  • Management/Tracking of Lead Service Line Replacement Agreements (Necessary for Performing the Work on Private Property)
  • Prepared Bid Documents and Bidding Assistance
  • Installation of 400 New Copper Water Services
  • Exterior Restoration (Public ROW and Private Property) and Interior Restoration (Structural and Aesthetic Inside Homes)
  • Real-Time GIS Tracking of Construction Progress and Tracking of Quantities
  • Utilized Low-Interest-Loan Fund Financing
